When are tours available?

How much are tickets?
All ticket prices include tax. Tickets are $16 each. If you have a group of 8 or more, tickets are $14 each. For children age 8 to 12, tickets are $12 each. Children age 7 and under are free. Combo tours are $25 for each person.

Tickets are also available for purchase at the Gettysburg Heritage Center, located at 297 Steinwehr Avenue, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
Where does the tour start?
Unity Park, located at the corner of Baltimore and Lefever streets, just south (right) of Mr. G’s Ice Cream Shop, in Gettysburg. More information is available on the page Where Your Tour Begins.
Where can I park?
Parking is available at the Gettysburg Area Middle School during non-school hours, behind Mr. G’s Ice Cream Shop at Baltimore and Lefever streets. Free parking is also available in the WellSpan parking lot after 4:30 pm, behind Steinwehr Avenue.
What should I wear?
The tour is an all-outside activity. We recommend shoes or sneakers, rather than sandals or flip flops. Please check the daily weather report to dress for the outside temperature.
Is the tour suitable for children?
We have had children of all ages on our tour. The Memories of the Battle Tour is the most graphic, where we show pictures taken during the aftermath of the battle. Parents have the opportunity to view the pictures first and decide if they are appropriate for their children. The Women of Gettysburg Tour and The Irish of Gettysburg Tour are more family-friendly tours.
What if it rains?
If we have light rain or drizzle, we will run the tour. If there is heavy rain, or thunder and lightening, the tour will be canceled. You can reschedule or get a refund.
Should I tip my tour guide?
Tips are greatly appreciated – and show that you liked the tour, and your guide did a fantastic job of storytelling.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, we are pet-friendly. Pets on leashes are very welcome.
Will I see a ghost?
Hidden Memories Tours are all-history tours, with no paranormal or ghost stories. We have never seen a ghost on our tours.
I bought my tickets, but my plans changed, and I can not make the tour. What are my options?
Tour tickets are transferable. You can use your tickets for a tour on another date, even another trip. Or you can give it to a friend or family member. To reschedule a tour, please call us at 717-398-4640 or eMail us at hiddenmemoriestours@gmail.com.
I am late for the tour. What should I do?
You can still take the tour. We have a designated “pick-up” spot at 402 South Washington Street, at the corner of South Washington Street and Lincoln Lane. Call your tour guide at 717-398-4640 to meet you there 30 minutes after the tour begins. After the tour, your guide will tell all the stories you did not hear. You will not miss a thing. More information, including maps, is available on our page Where Your Tour Begins.
